Highlight Express

Two Master Hair Colorists work together on one client to save time and to process color evenly with fantastic results. A Full Highlight Express will take less than 30 minutes with no additional charge.

Selected fine panels of hair are placed in biodegradable paper and colored with Tocco Magico, a rich pigmented hair color containing 7 natural herbs to create shiny, healthy, beautiful highlights.

This procedure can also be applied to gray hair to make it look younger, more vibrant and healthy. Hair color never touches the scalp, therefore it's excellent for persons allergic to hair color and safe for pregnant women.

Daryl Christopher became incorporated in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on December 20th, 1979. Our full service salon opened in Wayland with a strong green policy. We would not allow smoking, aerosol sprays or toxic ingredients in preservatives of salon and spa products. This was not an easy task three decades ago, but we did it!

In 1988 we were recognized by the American Cancer Society for being the first smoke-free, aerosol-free salon in Massachusetts, Angela was invited with her daughter Daryl to the MA State House to receive this citation and honor. We continued with our commitment to good health as we opened our second Salon and Day Spa on Newbury Street in Boston in 1985. Daryl Christopher was recognized for being “The Best Day Spa” as well as offering “The Best Facial” from Boston Magazine, plus many other “Best Of” awards for ten consecutive years. In 1991, Angela was selected by American Salon Magazine as “Salon Owner of the Year” and received this great honor at the IBS in New York City before thousands of her peers.

In 2000 we opened our third salon and day spa @ Healthpoint. This location was owned by a team of well known doctors, it’s tenants were “Healthpoint” a premiere health club, the Boston Celtics Basketball team’s training facility and medical offices. In a building survey for tenants, when asked “what would enhance the facility, what tenant would they like to have join them?” The Daryl Christopher Wellness Salon and Day Spa was chosen in a unanimous decision.

Here Daryl Christopher created a totally “Green” Salon and Spa. The walls are painted with non-toxic paint, the air is purified with ozone and ions, The carpeting is natural cotton and cleaned monthly with non toxic cleaners, we use soy candles to create a warm environment. We recycle everything. Our products do not have toxic preservatives, we use Jurlique for our Organic facials and massage treatments. Our robes are natural cotton for clients to change into. We offer Spa Ritual Vegan nail services. We serve organic refreshments in glass cups, we clean with maintenance products that are only green.

Healthpoint @ Waltham

Daryl Christopher has moved from Newbury Street, Boston to Waltham, November 1st, 2009.

After 24 exciting years on Newbury Street, the award winning Daryl Christopher wellness salon and day spa has moved it's salon and spa operation to it's Healthpoint, Waltham location at 840 Winter Street, just 20 minutes from Newbury Street, Boston.

Please visit Daryl Christopher at Healthpoint, featuring an outstanding, team of experienced professionals including the Newbury Street salon and spa team, FREE parking, a Gourmet café, Kidspoint babysitting and the Boston Sports Club. Healthpoint is also the location of the Boston Celtics basketball training facility.

Daryl Christopher wants to THANK it's many loyal clients and will offer a complimentary pedicure and manicure to their Boston clients for any inconvenience that traveling to Waltham may incur. All outstanding Gift Certificates and Gift Cards will be honored at the Healthpoint salon and spa location.
